In July 2016, Wintek Construction completed one of their most challenging projects to date. A massive project that started in May 2015 and took over a year to be completed. The project brief included the creation of two stone built units, which due to the location of the building site, became a difficult project to work with. A canal runs through the area and as a result of this, the building society and architect endorsed specific requirements for the building of the units. Wintek Construction worked around the parameters set by the building society and accommodated their requirements to the best way possible with specialised raft foundations, double walls and tanking.
The units are stone built with a purpose-built mezzanine floor and have double patio doors on the rear side. Special pipes have been laid under the foundation to transport any suppressed water. Centralised steps have been created for both units for an easy entrance in and exit out of the units. A patio has been created for outdoor activities. Boundary walls have been created and a ramp has also been made to connect the house to the rear garden, this is a great addition to the project.
Wintek construction not only took on the job to create two units but fully facilitated the units by connecting the gas, electric and water to the units. The units are well designed, keeping in mind all the potential location related complications, all while sticking to the brief of the owner to the tee. Yet again, Wintek has created an innovative and specialised building!
