Why a Change is as Good as a Cruise

When you have lived in your house for a long time it becomes worn out and as comfortable as a cosy old sweater and sometimes you can also grow out of it as well. The same goes for a holiday. There comes a time for many people when travelling to the same destination, year in and year out becomes a bore, It is often the case that after years of getting tanned on the beach, the lazy sun worshipper holiday becomes less alluring. There are only so many holidays getting sand in your sandwiches. This is the time when prospective holiday goers start to dream about going on a cruise. They dream of luxury and relaxation and beautiful blue seas. The imagine expanding their horizons. The same goes for a family home. Often, after a while there might be thoughts about some extra space with an extension or maybe even a brand new house, built from scratch, sparkling and new and ready to set sail as the new family home. Perhaps a new house is the domestic equivalent of a cruise holiday.

The attractive thing about a holiday on the high seas is that the liner becomes a luxury home away from home. As you travel from country to country there is no need to move out, to check-in and out. You can take this holiday home along with you and just relax. It is like moving into a great hotel and realising you can have room to move and move around seeing different sights without checking out. A cruise is a refreshing change to many package deals but is still a way to relax and get the best of all holiday worlds. If you renovate your home or add on an extension then you are still getting all the benefits of your old home but with some added extras that allow you to stretch out that little bit more. The issue sometimes is that when it comes to holidays most people are trying to accommodate someone else's ideas about what an ideal break is. Over the years this also changes, just as a family might expand and then fly the nest or make their own nest, so the demands of what counts as relaxing changes.

A cruise allows for these changes as it offers a dip into every atmosphere and every pursuit. If your family is expanding you might look to create more space in the home and you might also think that a holiday where there is less pressure is the key to making everybody, including yourself, happy. Or it could be that your family has grown up and moved out and you need a new, modern holiday. When grown-up children leave the family home, many couples decide to downsize and maybe even build their own tailor made home. With the ebb and flow of life's changes, a cruise can be just the trick. A change is undoubtedly as good as a rest.
